Today’s theme is tears, and I’ve been thinking a lot on this one, as I didn’t know how to write about tears without being depressing. We’ve all had sad experiences in our lives, so who wants to rehash them? But sometimes, ironically enough, being sad is sometimes a pleasant experience, a good way to release emotions and end up feeling happier as a result. To quote Sally Sparrow from my favorite Dr. Who episode Blink, sad is “happy for deep people”. So in today’s post, I thought I’d list a few of my favorite sad things. The night of 2/16/19, the Duck had a rather stressful dream indeed. It began where I was in my garage, but the door that leads outside led, rather, to another room. A guy was in this room and was trying to break into the house via this door, and he seemed largely unaffected by the door’s lock. Though I would lock the door to bar him entrance, I would then watch in horror as the lock would slowly turn. Eventually, I had to start placing furniture against it to keep the door secured. Even though this finally worked, the man was clearly determined, as he merely decided to sleep in this room as he awaited his chance to break inside the house. It seems I have been writing a lot of these lately. Well, you know my popeyed goldfish Peepers? You know what, let me start from the beginning. Though, there’s not much to tell. Basically, I got home from work the afternoon of 10/7/14. I didn’t bother opening the blinds in the morning, so I thought I’d open them now to give Peepers more light, and I’d run over and give her a great big “how do?” before doing some hardcore gaming. It was at that moment that I found her.
