A Game About Mercy: Undertale

You may have heard of an indie PC game inspired by EarthBound called Undertale.  The game’s praise, along with its relation to a SNES game I absolutely love, made it a must-play.  Though, I must admit that I am typically quite reluctant to download PC games because, well, my computer is weird sometimes.  When I found the game had recently been released on the PS4, the time for excuses was over.  I set out to play Undertale…a thought that, even now, fills me with determination.

Mother Duck often asks why video games are filled with so much fighting.  That is not to say she believes video games are violent things that are destroying our world’s youth like the media would have us believe.  In fact, she beat up plenty of 16-bit baddies during the SNES era, so she is no stranger to video game, ahem, “violence”.  Even so, it is a valid question. For the longest time, I have been meaning to play a positively intriguing PC game called Undertale, an RPG that gives players the choice to kill or show mercy to their enemies.  Problem was, I’m not big into downloading games onto my computer, so it was pretty exciting when I found that the game had become available on the PS4.  I went into the game with high expectations, and I was not disappointed, as Undertale quickly became one of my most beloved games of all time.  Alongside innovative gameplay, some rather hilarious humor, and delightful characters, the game also sports a truly spectacular soundtrack.  Below, I have listed my top seven songs from the game.  (Psst…I actually downloaded four of these as ringtones for my phone….) A Ducky Halloween 2015: Fun With FNAF and Jano

Happy late Halloween, everyone!  I had a pretty special one this year, and you might know why.  First off, the night before Halloween was United We Game’s very first live stream on Youtube, where I spent about an hour playing the horrifying PC game, Five Nights at Freddy’s.  For those of you who didn’t get a chance to check it out when it was live, I have provided the link below for you to view at your leisure if you so choose.  Please do.  Just keep in mind that it doesn’t officially start until about 8 minutes in when I start my spooky intro.  The time before that is just testing.
