Little Nightmares Color Palettes for October 2021

I always like to do something special for October, so this year, I decided to create a set of four Little Nightmares pictures.  In a fashion similar to my Haunted Mansion pictures from last year, these new drawings were colored using the color palettes that you can find at this link.  While I’ve been slowly posting these pictures to my Deviant Art account, my dear readers get an early look at my fourth and final picture, which I plan to post to DA on Halloween.

Little Nightmares Face Practice

Every October, I try to draw something special for the spookiest time of the year.  Last year was a set of Haunted Mansion color palette pictures.  This year, I’m doing the same thing, except the theme is going to be Little Nightmares instead.  As I prepared, I practiced drawing a bunch of characters from the series (excluding Very Little Nightmares, which I’ve never played) using screenshots, concept art, and reference sheets created by TheCreatorsEye on Deviant Art (who has been working for the last few years on an excellent Little Nightmares comic that is updated on Tuesdays, by the way).

Evading the Teacher: A Little Nightmares Dream

The night of April 26, 2021, I dreamt of the terrifying school teacher from the horror game, Little Nightmares 2.  She is easily one of the most frightening things in the series, thanks largely to a neck that can stretch to horrifying lengths.  It is no wonder then that she would be the focus of my dreams, even when I finished the game a couple months ago.  I dreamt that I was competing with someone (no idea who he was, though) to see who could beat Little Nightmares 2 the quickest.  I felt I had an advantage because I, unlike my competitor, had beaten the game before, so it was not unexpected when I reached chapter 2 while he was still in chapter 1.

I just revisited Little Nightmares 2 and got 100% of the trophies in the game! I had missed practically everything, but thanks to a guide I found on YouTube, it didn’t take me long to get every trophy, including finding every spooky shadow child and every hat (minus two that must be part of the Nome’s Attic DLC?). Interesting events are as follows:

Little Nightmares 2 is Back for More Gruesome Goodness

The long-awaited Little Nightmares 2 is finally here, folks!  And though I was a bit hesitant about setting my expectations too high (I’ve been let down by too many sequels, you see), I can safely say this game does not disappoint!  This time around, we play as a boy named Mono, though it isn’t long before we are accompanied by Six from the original game.  (We don’t find out it’s her until the end of chapter 2, but this detail is pretty much already spoiled in the game’s online description, so…)  Mono’s goal is to brave the Pale City, reach the Signal Tower, and find the source of the Transmission.  Along the way, he and Six encounter various grotesque creatures and must use stealth and wits to survive.
