The Duck Dreams of Abandoned Mansions

The night of 10/21/19, I had another one of my more interesting dreams.  And if you’ve been following this blog for any length of time, then you know what that means.  I’m going to share this dream with you, my dear readers, because I’m weird, and that’s what I do.  As is often the case, the details have become rather fuzzy, but I’ll try to recount this odd dream as well as I can. The Duck Dreams of Things Lurking in the Shadows

The night of 8/25/19, I had a rather creepy dream that I wanted to write down before I forgot.  It has often been my intention to write a short story based off of some of my more interesting dreams, but as is often the case with a good number of my little side projects, it never quite happens.  Nevertheless, the least I can do is share it with all of you, my dear readers. Continue reading The Duck Dreams of Things Lurking in the Shadows

The Duck’s Recurring Dreams of Food and Darkness

The Duck dreams quite frequently, as you may have noticed from all the random dream posts I have written over the years.  For whatever reason, however, there are certain dreams I get far more often than others that began in ducklinghood and still continue to this day.  They can largely be broken down into two categories: food and darkness. Dream Time: So Many Cats!

Seeing as I am currently cat-less for the first time in four years, it is no wonder that cats have been on my mind quite a lot lately.  And yet, though I deeply want to get another pet now that dear Elsa is no longer with us, I have no idea what’s going on with my life at the moment (it’s complicated), so getting a pet would currently be quite unwise.  Even so, that does not mean my life is completely devoid of feline companions, because the nights of 3/6/19 and 3/7/19 were filled with dreams of these lovely, fluffy angels. Dream Time: The Duck Uses the Wrong Computer

The night of 3/4/19, the Duck had a dream that caused me stress even after I had woken up…until I finally realized that it had all just been, in fact, inside my fluffy duck head all along.  Phew.  In this dream, I was going to a community college, and I kept visiting the college’s server.  I thought it was quite cool indeed getting to use such a fancy-pants computer (though I am rather unsure how it was so easy to gain access to it). The Duck Dreams of SCP-173

The night of 4/16/19, the Duck had a spooky dream courtesy of a PC game called SCP: Containment Breach.  If you’re not familiar, the SCP Foundation is a fictional group that basically collects and studies anomalous creatures and objects.  Kind of like the TV series, Warehouse 13.  But scarier.  This particular dream featured SCP-173, a statue that moves at incredible speeds as long as you aren’t looking at it.  (If you’re thinking that they stole the idea from Dr. Who’s Weeping Angels, well, SCP-173 was actually created first, so…) Continue reading The Duck Dreams of SCP-173

Dream Time: Higgledies to the Rescue?

The night of 2/16/19, the Duck had a rather stressful dream indeed.  It began where I was in my garage, but the door that leads outside led, rather, to another room.  A guy was in this room and was trying to break into the house via this door, and he seemed largely unaffected by the door’s lock.  Though I would lock the door to bar him entrance, I would then watch in horror as the lock would slowly turn.  Eventually, I had to start placing furniture against it to keep the door secured.  Even though this finally worked, the man was clearly determined, as he merely decided to sleep in this room as he awaited his chance to break inside the house. Dream Time: A Safe Place in a Spooky House

Good day, the Duck’s got another random dream to share with you all.  On the night of 1/15/19, I dreamt I was in my house, but it was different, with a different layout and two stories.  It was very dark, and I was hearing some strange noises.  I was standing on one end of the house looking at the other, but from here, I couldn’t see where the noise was coming from.  It sounded like people, though, and I was considering calling the police.
