Seeing as I am currently cat-less for the first time in four years, it is no wonder that cats have been on my mind quite a lot lately. And yet, though I deeply want to get another pet now that dear Elsa is no longer with us, I have no idea what’s going on with my life at the moment (it’s complicated), so getting a pet would currently be quite unwise. Even so, that does not mean my life is completely devoid of feline companions, because the nights of 3/6/19 and 3/7/19 were filled with dreams of these lovely, fluffy angels. Continue reading Dream Time: So Many Cats!
The night of 3/4/19, the Duck had a dream that caused me stress even after I had woken up…until I finally realized that it had all just been, in fact, inside my fluffy duck head all along. Phew. In this dream, I was going to a community college, and I kept visiting the college’s server. I thought it was quite cool indeed getting to use such a fancy-pants computer (though I am rather unsure how it was so easy to gain access to it). Continue reading Dream Time: The Duck Uses the Wrong Computer
The night of 4/16/19, the Duck had a spooky dream courtesy of a PC game called SCP: Containment Breach. If you’re not familiar, the SCP Foundation is a fictional group that basically collects and studies anomalous creatures and objects. Kind of like the TV series, Warehouse 13. But scarier. This particular dream featured SCP-173, a statue that moves at incredible speeds as long as you aren’t looking at it. (If you’re thinking that they stole the idea from Dr. Who’s Weeping Angels, well, SCP-173 was actually created first, so…) Continue reading The Duck Dreams of SCP-173
For whatever reason, the Duck has been having lots of rather creepy dreams lately. I heard that cold air gives one bad dreams, and whether or not this is true, it certainly seems to be, considering winter is the major time when the Duck finds herself in the midst of a good deal of weird nightmares. Continue reading Dream Time: An Uncooperative Door
The night of 2/16/19, the Duck had a rather stressful dream indeed. It began where I was in my garage, but the door that leads outside led, rather, to another room. A guy was in this room and was trying to break into the house via this door, and he seemed largely unaffected by the door’s lock. Though I would lock the door to bar him entrance, I would then watch in horror as the lock would slowly turn. Eventually, I had to start placing furniture against it to keep the door secured. Even though this finally worked, the man was clearly determined, as he merely decided to sleep in this room as he awaited his chance to break inside the house. Continue reading Dream Time: Higgledies to the Rescue?
The night of 1/18/19, I had another spooky dream. I get them often, and though they are unpleasant while I’m in the middle of them, sometimes they can be interesting to think back on during daylight hours. The dream revolved around an abandoned, probably haunted house. Continue reading Dream Time: Race Through the Haunted House
Good day, the Duck’s got another random dream to share with you all. On the night of 1/15/19, I dreamt I was in my house, but it was different, with a different layout and two stories. It was very dark, and I was hearing some strange noises. I was standing on one end of the house looking at the other, but from here, I couldn’t see where the noise was coming from. It sounded like people, though, and I was considering calling the police. Continue reading Dream Time: A Safe Place in a Spooky House
During the nights of October 23 and 24 of 2018, I had a couple of dreams I wanted to recount for all of you. The latter was less interesting, so I shall get to it first. The former, however, was quite a mystery indeed…literally…. Continue reading Dream Time: The Case of the Four Photos
Once again, I shall be recounting a few dreams I had the nights of March 22 and 23 of 2018. (March 22 was also the night I heard an owl outside, which is something that I’ve never heard before, with the exception of the zoo. Of course, this is unrelated, but I still thought it was cool. I also once saw a great horned owl get chased away by a herd of crows. That was years ago. I’m not sure why I’m telling you guys this.) Continue reading The Duck Dreams of a Friendly Snake
Ever since our most recent trip to Disneyland, I have been dreaming about the Pixar Fest cake. It’s a very odd thing, but I seem to dream about food a lot. I have had many dreams about visiting bakeries, sometimes the same establishment over the course of many years. I guess I’m obsessed with treats, with the newest object of my fixation being that three-layer beauty exclusive to Pixar Fest. As you may recall, I was unable to try this cake during our recent visit to Disneyland, as the Plaza Inn was only serving chocolate cake when we stopped by for dinner (only chocolate cake; what do you mean, Duck?). And even though we eventually decided to make the cake ourselves, it didn’t stop me from dreaming about it, nevertheless. Continue reading I Dream of Cake…and Turkey
