Challenge-Challenge Template by KittyCouch

I found this fun art template online, which was created by KittyCouch on Deviant Art. As you can see, it was a rather challenging (but also amusing) little endeavor where I was tasked with drawing my chosen character with various…disadvantages.  I decided to do two of these, one for Dr. Loboto and one for Crispin, both characters from Psychonauts.

1-Month Core Membership on DA from Ry-Spirit

A few days ago, Ry-Spirit, one of the artists on Deviant Art that I watch, posted a journal entry asking people to post their best work in the comments, with the possibility of receiving a Diamond Badge in return.  I posted one of my most recent pictures, some fan art I drew of Crispin Whytehead from Psychonauts.  I was rather proud of the background, which features Lake Oblongata.  I ended up receiving a Diamond Badge, which also includes a 1-Month Core Membership!  So special thanks to Ry-Spirit for his kindness!

Having now recorded both Psychonauts games for Youtube (not including the VR game), I recently decided to go back and try to get a lot of the stuff I had missed, as I am a bit of a completionist and enjoy getting 100% in games whenever possible. So last Wednesday, I managed to get Platinum in Psychonauts 2 (which means I got 100% in the game and 100% of the trophies). It was a fairly simple feat, though I couldn’t find one of the figments in Loboto’s mind until I looked up a video. It was a red figment on a pink background, and I had apparently walked past it multiple times.

Psychonauts 2 is a Much More Polished Sequel

In the recent past, the Duck wrote a rather…critical review about the original Psychonauts from 2In the recent past, the Duck wrote a rather…critical review about the original Psychonauts from 2005.  While I praised the game’s characters, story, and creativity, I was a lot harsher when it came to the game’s clunky platforming.  With that said, I may have given the impression that I disliked the game, which is simply not true.  I have since replayed it, and despite its flaws, I grew to love the original Psychonauts so much that I was left with no choice but to buy the sequel at full price (I rarely ever buy digital games until they go on sale).

I Have Mixed Feelings for Psychonauts

Recently, I’ve been hearing a lot about Psychonauts 2, the highly anticipated sequel to, well, the first Psychonauts game, which released all the way back in 2005.  Intrigued, I was not quite ready to jump straight into the sequel when I had yet to play the original, so I downloaded Psychonauts on my PS4 and gave it a try.  Having now completed the game, does it make me want to try the sequel?  Well, this review will soon answer that question, so read on, dear readers!
