The newest 100 theme challenge is #21: vacation, which should be an easy one indeed. Let’s get right to it. The most exotic place I have ever visited was Tahiti, which is very cool, but I was a duckling at the time and remember none of it. Except that you could get this delicious bread with chocolate in the middle. Leave it to a young child to remember sweets above all else when visiting a tropical island in a completely different hemisphere.
We also visited St. Maarten when I was a preteen, but again, I don’t remember all that much. I mainly remember there being a lot of cats wandering around, and I hated the toilet in the place we stayed at because it flushed really loudly. Around this same age, my parents also decided that we should spend a few days driving through every New England state. As quickly as possible. We pretty much drove non-stop and saw next to nothing, with the main stop being Massachusetts. I want to say we stopped in Boston, but we visited a museum about the Salem Witch Trials, so…maybe it wasn’t Boston.
I think we’re seeing a trend here. My memory is awful.
My favorite kind of vacation, however, is not tropical islands or foreign countries. The kinds of places I enjoy visiting most are all found in two cities in the United States, Los Angeles and Orlando. I think you know where this is going. A dream vacation of mine would be to spend a week in Orlando thoroughly checking out Disney World and Universal Studios. I really want to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. That looks too awesome!
Well, I guess I would like to visit Paris. Because they have their own Disneyland, too, complete with a super cool dragon beneath the castle. If you weren’t already aware of that, you should totally look it up on Youtube.
What about you, my readers? What was your favorite vacation? What is your dream vacation? Why not share your thoughts in the comments below?
